It seems a few months can’t go by without news of another movie from Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Scorsese and DiCaprio will team early next year on Shutter Island based on the Dennis Lehane novel. Laeta Kalogridis wrote the script. The drama, set in 1954, would see DiCaprio play U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels, who is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island. Production is scheduled to begin in March.
Lehane wrote Mystic River which was turned into a film
by Clint Eastwood and Gone Baby Gone which is currently in theaters from director Ben Affleck.
